Program Description:

Located in the Spanish capital, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) offers students a rich cultural, professional, and academic experience. The ICADE Faculty of Law is one of the highest ranked law schools in Spain and has historically focused on law, business administration and management, political science and public administration.
Students in the exchange program can choose from courses offered in the law school's international and European business law program, including classes in business law, European law, and administrative and regulatory law. For students interested in business law, courses are offered in trade, antitrust, finance, commercial law, and intellectual property. Through the coursework and outside opportunities available at ICADE, students will gain a deeper understanding of the rules governing international business and the European Union.

The official language of instruction at ICADE is Spanish; however courses for the exchange program are offered in English. Depending on the students' language ability and program of study, students can choose between Spanish and English courses.

Students will receive up to 12 credits towards their law degree. Only the credits and not the grades will transfer per ABA requirements. The acceptance of any credit or grade for any courses taken at ICADE, including externships and other clinical offerings, is subject to determination by the AUWCL Office of the Registrar. AUWCL students will be enrolled in courses specifically geared to exchange students.

The following is a selection of courses offered at ICADE for the 2018-2019 academic year. For a more complete list, view the course catalogue available on the ICADE Prospective Exchange Student page. Courses are subject to change.
