Intellectual Property & Communication

Intellectual property is a body of law that intends to protect the ideas and intangible assets of its owner. With increased efficiency of international travel, the pace of technology advancing exponentially and the ability to transmit ideas across borders in a few seconds, intellectual property law is a prominent point of discussion in the international arena.

Beyond the law school’s Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property, AUWCL has established several programs that allows students to study and address the issues and dilemmas intellectual property raises in a wide range of areas such as international trade, health care, science and technology,  and education, to name a few. The programs allow students to learn from experts in the field and understand the intricacies of intellectual property law while abroad. The skills and knowledge students acquire will be invaluable in the evolving discipline of intellectual property.

In addition to various issues in intellectual property, many of the programs listed below offer courses in sports, entertainment, and communication law.
