International Business & Trade

With over 300 trade agreements currently in force, numerous being negotiated, and 157 members in the World Trade Organization, international trade and business is an ever expanding area of law. Companies have gone multinational, banks are involved in international markets, and the speed of trade is accelerating. Attorneys in today’s legal landscape must understand how to approach and resolve the various issues emerging in this evolving field.

AUWCL provides students the opportunity to study international trade and business in Asia, Europe, and South America. In addition to studying the complexities of U.S. trade and business abroad, students learn about the complexities of international trade and business of the host institution’s country as well. Students will acquire skills and knowledge that will benefit their careers both domestically or abroad.

Through these international programs students can choose from courses in finance, investment, antitrust, tax and commercial law.
