The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Facultad de Derecho, is located in Mexico City, at the center of Mexican academic life. UNAM offers students the opportunity to observe the intellectual traffic of a cosmopolitan capital while also participating in a strong academic program. The law school's objective is to offer training that includes the knowledge and the necessary abilities to understand and value the field of law, its inherent problems, and how law contributes to the development of the country and society.
UNAM offers extensive computer resources, a large library system and plenty of extracurricular activities for students. Public transportation, as well as free student transportation, is available.

The program is offered in both the spring and fall semesters.

The official language of instruction at UNAM is Spanish. Spanish language courses may also be taken in Mexico.
Students will receive up to 12 credits towards their law degree. Only the credits and not the grades will transfer per ABA requirements. The acceptance of any credit or grade for any courses taken at UNAM, including externships and other clinical offerings, is subject to determination by the AUWCL Office of the Registrar. AUWCL students will be enrolled in regularly scheduled classes with fellow UNAM students.
