Announcement: International Professional Development and the White House Fellows Program

The American Society of International Law (ASIL) will host a unique opportunity to learn about the White House Fellows experience and application process from a former Fellow and current ASIL member, Ziad Haider. Ziad will discuss his experience as a Fellow as well as walk attendees through the application process, while providing insight into what makes a strong application for the Fellowship.

On *Tuesday, October 15, at 5:30 p.m., ASIL will host a unique opportunity to learn about the White House Fellows experience and application process from a former Fellow and current ASIL member. Ziad Haider is an attorney at White & Case LLP in its international arbitration practice. He previously served as a White House Fellow in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice and a national security aide in the U.S. Senate. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the White House Fellows Alumni Association and Foundation and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Director of the Truman National Security Project's Asia Expert Group. Ziad was an ASIL Arthur C. Helton Fellow at the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in 2008 conducting research on governance reforms in Pakistan's tribal belt.

This event is free to ASIL members, students of ASIL Academic Partners, and members of the Washington Foreign Law Society. *Non-members fee is $15.
