Expenses

Please see the table below for a detailed breakdown of program expenses.

Consortium Agreements for non-WCL Participants:
All non-WCL students who will be sending a consortium agreement to WCL: Please make sure to write the NAME of the specific program and a contact email address on the agreement before submitting the documents. All consortium agreements can be sent to AU WCL Financial Aid Office, c/o Ms. Judi Amey, at jamey@wcl.american.edu or Fax: 202-274-4107.

Non-Refundable Application Fee2 US$ 100.00 Due at the same time as the application (applications accepted on a rolling basis until April 1 - please note that programs often fill up well before this date)
Non-Refundable Seat Deposit3 US$ 500.00 Due within three (3) weeks after you have been notified that your application was received. (Space in the program is not guaranteed until this deposit has been made.)
Tuition Balance Due US$ 9,700.00 05/24/2013

1Tuition includes the following: 1) 6 credit hours from American University Washington College of Law; 2) Housing from June 2 through the morning of June 30; 3) local transportation and admission to required site visits; 4) transportation between program cities; 5) orientation & receptions; 6) supplemental travel insurance during program dates; & 7) some meals.
2The Application Fee is not part of tuition, but is a separate administrative fee.
3The Seat Deposit is the first US$ 500.00 of the total tuition due for the program.

*Additional program costs for which students are responsible for include, but are not limited to, roundtrip transportation from/to the United States; food; any visa charges; any hotel room charges; and personal miscellaneous expenses.

Travel

All participants must make their own travel arrangements between their home countries and Tel Aviv, Israel. The program does not incur any liability for those arrangements. Please inform the Program Director once arrangements have been made.

All participants are required to have a passport that is valid at least six (6) months from the intended date upon entering Israel.

All participants are responsible for obtaining a visa if necessary. Citizens from the United States and Canada do not need to obtain a visa prior to traveling if staying for less than 90 days (3 months). Please visit the  Embassy of Israel (Washington, DC) website directly for more information, specific requirements, and any changes or updates.

Note: All participants traveling to Israel as a tourist must have a round-trip ticket.

Housing

All lodging duiring the program dates is provided at no additional cost. In Israel, all accommodations are at hotels and each person will be assigned a roommate. Single rooms are available, but participants are responsible for paying an additional amount.
